Our Grapes

You need to be in the cellar of a good wine grower, after the grape harvest, to realise just how many varieties there are in Alsace...Alsace is a wine-growing region where many different grape varieties are used to make these very characteristic wines. There are ten varieties : Sylvaner, Chasselas, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Muscat, d’Alsace, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Klevener de Heiligenstein and Chardonnay, reserved for making Crémant d’Alsace.

Gewurztraminer

reigns supreme over cheeses and desserts, thanks to its typical exotic fruits like litchi keys, or aromas of roses.

Pinot Blanc

will enhance your buffet feast, from starters to dessert, its lightness and subtle aromas of flowers.

 

Sylvaner

perfection accompanied with asparagus, fish thanks to its acidity and its subtle flavors of fresh fruit.

Pinot Noir

Noir and aromas of red fruit will taste white meat on a baeckeofe and sausages

 

Riesling

goes extremely well with all seafood, fish and shellfish.

Muscat d’Alsace

Perfect as an aperitif, these crisp aromas of grapes you will create an explosion of freshness in the mouth.

 

Pinot Gris

Perfect with white meats, foie gras, its aromas of plum, stone fruit delight your dishes
